Tell us about yourself and your music
I’m just a kid from Philadelphia trying to make some music. My music comes slow but when it does come I make sure it’s the best I can do. I make rap, but no gangster rap. One influence of mine is Torin Reese. Not only is he my cousin, but the biggest reason I started my music and he helps all throughout everything.
Talk to us more about your latest release
I recently dropped an EP called “EXPENSIVE.” It’s something that my fans wouldn’t really expect from me because of my previous releases like “Drippy”. It’s something I think everyone should check out because I put quite some time into it.
What inspired you to write this release?
I was really at a good point in my life while working on this project. Of course, Torin Reese helped me out with lyrics and production but all the hard work was worthwhile.
Describe the writing and recording process
I mainly try and just freestyle a verse and work off of that. Writing my recent music has been a little taking in the switch up of flows in my music.
Any plans to release a video?
I think a video release is a while down the way but it’s definitely a thought.
Any plans to hit the road?
No tour dates or shows coming up, but I do have some people that are down to help with that.
As an indie artist, how do you brand yourself and your music to stand out from the rest of the artists out there?
I mainly try to branch off of social because I feel as if most of the youth find new music there. Promotion seems like a waste of money but who knows.
Who have you been listening to lately?
Recently I’ve been listening to Trippie Redd and some Juice WRLD. I honestly love Juice WRLD.
Who are your biggest influences?
My biggest influences are Torin Reese, Juice WRLD, Chance the Rapper, and SuperxKid
Tell us about your passions
I usually try to find happiness in whatever I do because life only happens once and happiness is the best feeling to have. I always think about making music.
What else is happening next in your world?
I just plan to make people happy in any way possible because that’s whatsup.
Thanks for an awesome interview, Joseph
