Vaeda Black has been building an engaged and loyal fanbase online and through live performances in the NYC area. Following the success of her dark ballad Suicide Love which was hailed as “…thought-provoking and provocative” (The Daily Listening) and a “… a song that can be on your all time playlist.” (Music of the Future) Vaeda returns with her third single Run Fast.
Vaeda states “Run Fast is about being young, partying and living in the moment. It’s about being a bit reckless with your emotions. When you are really attracted to someone, you don’t care that you might get hurt when you get involved with them.”
Unafraid to look at her darker side, Vaeda’s unique sound is a blend of alternative, pop, indie rock and soul that takes listeners on a deep and mysterious journey through a wide range of emotions.
With beat provided by Anno Domini Nation, and track produced by RJ Bucaria, Run Fast’s sparse beginnings allow the vocal space to breathe before the song transcends into a dense sonic landscape at the it’s climax.
The music was mixed by Grammy-winning, and eleven time Grammy-nominated Jason Goldstein (Beyoncé, Jennifer Lopez, David Bowie). Vocals were produced, recorded and mixed at Spin Recording Studios in NYC with Johnny “Nice” Vlahakis (Rihanna, OAR, Jackie Evancho) at the board. Mastering was deftly handled by Nicholas Roberto Di Lorenzo at Panorama Mixing & Mastering in Melbourne, Australia.
More on Vaeda Black
Raised in the suburbs of New York City, 17 yr old singer songwriter Vaeda Black was born to artist and musician parents, and her inherent creativity came forth at an early age. A strong desire to perform lead her to the stages of grade school talent shows and musical theater productions. There she found her confidence and harnessed her vocal power, while experimenting with poetic writing. The notebook scribbles of ideas and poetry naturally led to her to put music to her words at the piano in her family home.
