Thonio Preps For ‘The ’58 Prequel’

New Album Out In 2018

Buffalo, New York – December 7, 2017 – An almost fatal crash led Thonio to a path of lethal rhymes. The Arkansas native has been to the edge of life and back again, and now there’s nothing that scares him. The lights almost going out on his dreams is what pushed him to come out swinging. This year he dropped The Nostalgia in the fall, and he’s ready to do it all over again with The ’58 Prequel right when the new year hits.

After enduring an $80,0000 surgery to reconstruct his face after the car crash that almost took his life, this ambitious artist was able to power forward and remain focused. Despite feeling drained and trying to recover, Thonio went on to impress the highly revered, multi-platinum producer Darrell “Digga” Branch. A dream team in many’s eyes, Thonio and Digga are unstoppable when they hit the studio.

On The Nostalgia, listeners could hear the versatility of Thonio. Whether it was in “Smooth Sailing” or “Can’t Afford It,” he colored people impressed with his ability to not be pigeonholed. A Southern rapper, it’d be easy to stick to one path but Thonio likes to jump around. Hip hop’s his base, but he bounces from here to there so as to not bore listeners, and himself.

He’ll do the same with the release of The ’58 Prequel. Dropping January 1, 2017, it’ll be eight tracks deep and feature Thonio’s adjustable style, as well as the likes of Marc Bishop and Naehollowz.

The Nostalgia is available now, while The ‘58 Prequel will be out January 1, 2018. Those interested in featuring either via review or interviewing Thonio about his life and career thus far can get in touch via the information provided below.
