Serious Rhymes Combined With Beats Making New Fans Daily
Lansing, Michigan of America – December 5th, 2014 – Lansing, MI might not be on most people’s radars – but local rapper Chil Wil is set to change that with his lyrics and beats.
Already a steady fixture in local clubs and bars in the mid-Michigan area, Chil Wil is set to expand his sphere of influence as far afield as Austin, TX where he will perform at SXSW Music Festival (March 2015).
“Growing up in the 90s, my influences were rappers like Tupac, Nas, Biggie… Rakim. I loved them, and they inspired me. Jay-Z, too,” says Chil Wil. “I can’t really compare my sound to theirs, because it’s all too entwined. I want to create something that honors them while being a little different – something special.”
Chil Wil’s primary ambition is to send a good message to young people, but also send a message to everyone – his message is a positive one, encouraging building relations and respect between one another.
Chil Wil’s first album, Panther Album, is scheduled for release in winter 2014. Singles already available include Can’t Tell Me Nothin’, Exhibit A and Pain were songs feed for fans while waiting for the album to come out. Stridin and Sweetest Thing are songs that can be purchased on iTunes, Amazon and other good online music vendors while the other songs in his album is available to download on his reverbnation
