International Tour Now Through Fall 2017
Brooklyn, New York – July 26, 2017 – Artists that hail from any borough of New York City come with a bag of tricks. They rarely fall perfectly into one box, and Stanford Reid is no different. Blending NeoFolk Jazz with electropop and bits and pieces of R&B and hip-hop, he’s a variety packed fun bag when it comes to sound. A sound that has led him to perform throughout notable NYC spots, and Southeast Asia, where he’s been since October 2016. Come this September he’ll be taking his show back to South Africa, Japan, and Korea.
He started making music when he was living in Baltimore but headed back to Brooklyn to round out his varied sound. He says of his style, “As a philosopher, I study the inner workings of the lives of myself and others, crafting songs and freestyles that may inspire a new type of pure and honest encounters amongst strangers, as well as family and loved ones. Music gives life to the philosophy, so that it may live and breathe on.” With that, he’s released two albums thus far and will drop his third later this year when he’s overseas.
Stanford Reid is a powerhouse on stage. The proof comes in the cascade of venues he’s been able to perform at. From all over New York City to the W. in Bangkok to Cambodia. While he’s called the states home, he’s managed to make a name for himself overseas since he started releasing music only a few years ago. Mostly on his own, Stanford is ready to bring another on board as part of his management team when it comes to his touring.
Come September and going throughout December Stanford Reid will be in South Africa, Japan and Korea through the end of the year with a big stop in Vietnam for in November. In between those dates, he’ll drop his third release as well.
