Sparkbass: A New Original EDM Producer With An Addictive Video Game Aesthetic

Katy, Texas — Wednesday, December 16th, 2020 — Childhood videogames make an enormous impact on the new EDM artist, Sparkbass, who recently dropped his single Groovebot on Spotify and Soundcloud. Starting off as a traditional artist and pianist, Sparkbass was not aware about the world of music, until around age 16 where he began productions in his bedroom on FL Studio. Now, with fresh sounds to offer the world, Sparkbass makes his grand opening this year on all platforms!

The upbeat, fast-paced rhythms found within Sparkbass’s tracks are a driving motivator while producing his EDM. Currently, he has explored Dubstep, Dance, Future Bass, Jazz, Hip Hop, and Drum and Bass, though the latter is one of his most produced genres. This is a call back to his nostalgia for Sonic the Hedgehog as well as his appreciation for a UK based artist named Fox Stevenson. Since 2016, Jeremiah has been obsessed with making people’s heads blast off, sometimes going as far as to making his sound more space themed.

Nintendo reaches far, so to entirely describe his sound, one should listen to music soundtracks from games such as Sonic Rush, Pokémon Black, and Mario 64. As a kid, Jeremiah was really into drawing and animating said characters, and would soon start up a DeviantArt account that would reach over 19,000 page views under the alias “Exleydragon”. After a decade of art, he found an attraction to the melodies that accommodated these games, thus luring him to his very own Casio piano. From there he wrote his own original melodies, which can be heard in a lot of his new music.

Evolving his sound is one of his greatest goals. In recent days, he has focused himself on building his own home recording studio, investing solely on his craft and equipment. Currently he is pursuing an audio engineering certificate at the Houston Community College, but he continues to grind at home on his own projects. Sparkbass is an artist who makes music not just for himself, but for the whole party, always keeping true to his signature groovy style.

Sparkbass is a new EDM artist who incorporates years of Nintendo influence into his music. Inspired by games such as Mario and Sonic, he began his journey as a traditional artist, and is currently uploading digital art to his second Instagram account named “Sparkbassart”. After some years of practicing piano, he moved over to production in FL Studio around the age of 16 where he published a lot of his work on to what is now seen as his hip-hop, Jazz, and Trap Soundcloud account, MandarinDragon. Sparkbass continues to pursue music, not just in his own home studio production, but at the Houston Community College for a certificate in Audio Engineering.
