Cadiz, Spain – March 30, 2020 – Return Trip have released their first album ‘Seven Spanish Songs’, featuring music inspired by the sounds of traditional Spanish folk and flamenco.
Dedicated to the founding father of modern Spanish classical music, Felipe Pedrell, ‘Seven Spanish Songs’ celebrates the beauty of Spanish folk and flamenco over seven tracks that put a modern spin on a variety of traditional musical styles, from the angelic harmonies and complex rhythms heard in “Sevillana”, to the lively atmosphere of the Spanish/Mexican fusion “La Petenera”.
Martin Richardson, founder of the Return Trip Project, said:
“I am delighted with this new album, which represents an important step towards our goal of bringing the rich diversity of traditional Spanish music to the attention of a wide audience”
All profits of ´Seven Spanish Songs´ will be donated to Lendwithcare, a microfinancing project run by the charity Care International.

Return Trip was formed in 2018 when Martin Richardson sought out a way to record and distribute his compositions and arrangements influenced by Spanish music. The name Return Trip, “Ida y Vuelta” in Spanish, refers to musical styles that have their roots in Spain, evolved in Central and South America, and then “returned home” to Spain in modified form.
All Return Trip’s profits are donated to charities supporting the alleviation of poverty in Central and South America.
