Onaje Murray’s Current Release Wowing Fans Both Old And New
Los Angeles, California, United States of America – December 2, 2014 – Though Onaje Murray is a Texas native, he’s long made Los Angeles his home, working with a diverse cast of musicians.
This jazz and neo-tropical soul artist has been praised for his sound, which has been compared to artist such as Roy Ayers, The Crusaders, and Gregory Porter.
With such decent credentials, it’s no surprise that he’s featured in LA Jazz Magazine, where critics lauded his conceptual music.
Murray has been working hard in the studio, with many upcoming releases: The Rebirth of the Cool is his current release (with 11 of the 13 songs being his own original work), alongside a single, I Hear a Samba. In Addition, 5 of the tracks on this project were cut in Accra Ghana and features the West African rising star pianist Victor Dey and The West African Sound Factree.
“I’ve worked with so many people,” laughs Murray. “I mean, it’s really helped me to create a unique sound, taking in all these diverse influences and creating an identifiable style. I’ve also toured Europe and Africa, and it’s been a wonderful journey, both musically and in terms of experiencing new people, places, and cultures.”
Murray is currently performing every first Sunday of the month at Hal’s Bar & Grill (1349 Abbot Kinney Blvd, Venice, CA) from 8:00pm through 11:00pm where he delights visitors with his bright music.
His music is available at CDBaby and all good online music retailers.
