Miami, FL — November 18, 2015 — Jazz saxophonist Luis Alas has signed with Caroline/Universal as its first artist in the Smooth Jazz Genre. Under current contract Luis Alas will produce an introductory 5 song EP and a second full album.
Cuban American saxophonist Luis Alas born and raised in Hialeah, FL has been a professional musician performing in over 30 countries and playing with names like George Duke and Anita Baker. Over the last five years Luis has been working on a solo career as a performer, composer and band leader and now in the next chapter as a musician signing with the Indie label under Universal Music Group, Caroline.
Luis has been the saxophonist for many local and touring groups including The Great American Divas Show where he was introduced to Caroline/Universal. Luis and Caroline/Universal have been working on teaming and have officially committed to working together and releasing the introductory EP.
Luis is bringing a new blend of styles to Smooth Jazz including his heavy blues and rock influences. The debut EP is set to release in March 2016.
Luis’ EP titled “Shades Of My Soul” will release in March 2016.
