CAN MUSIC BE A SERIES OF CHEMICAL REACTIONS?
Organic Device’s mARTin Makes New Rules, And New Music
Guderup, Sønderborg, Denmark – August 30th, 2014 – Sometimes the music gets lost with showmanship — but with bands like Organic Device, there’s always going to be a band that puts the music first — but what would music from a chemistry teacher by day sound like?
The answer can be found with Organic Device.
The sole band member of Organic Device is mARTin, who has stated that there will be no forthcoming gigs. When asked why, he nods his head and smiles. “Organic Device is not a performing band!” he says, emphatically. “It’s a band that’s only interested in constructing the music.”
As a one-man band, mARTin writes and plays his music, singing the vocals and mixing up the tunes. Although his first album was released in 2006, he’s been playing for many years.
This emphasis on a constructivist kind of music seeps through into the names of the albums, A (2006), B, (2008) and Change (2014). The music is in a league of its own, and difficult to pin down to any specific genre, only electronica. The music is modulated, sometimes soft and quiet, at other times a loud, fast and furious riot of musical joy.
Organic Device is currently working on the fourth studio album, tentatively titled Different, with a release date scheduled for mid-2015.

About Organic Device
Organic Device is the brainchild of mARTin, a chemistry teacher. While his music is broadly in the electronica genre, its quirks and nuances make it unique and difficult to pigeonhole. Organic Device’s music is available from CDBaby.
