NEW ORLEANS, LOUISAINA – Harvey (formerly known as “Spank Deezy”) was born Jonathan Travis Harvey, (born October 19, 1991) in New Orleans, Lousiana. Growing up in poor and harsh environments in the 9th Ward of New Orleans, J sought hip hop music as an outlet at a young age. In his youth, J. Harvey began to relocate back and forth with his family in between New Orleans, LA, Colorado Springs, CO, & Chicago, IL and began to actively pursue his passion in music..
It was in Colorado Springs, at the age of 17, that he he was brought to Dirty Limelight’s attention by Hustle Hard Record’s
CEO/Artist/producer J-Blev. Shortly after J began to perform in various venues throughout Colorado with Dirty Limeight & Hustle Hard Records.
J. harvey started to perform and network his music and image; thus helping him to obtain the exposure he was looking for in Colorado. He continued to perform locally on shows with Dirty Limelight and record more consistently with Hustle Hard Records to hone his skills as a hip hop musician. In 2009, J. Harvey was signed with Hustle Hard Records as the label’s newest addition at the age of 18. Since being signed, J. Harvey has opened for major recording artists such as; J. Cole, Chalie Boy, Dorrough, Hurricane Chris, Young Buck, DJ Michael “5000” Watts & more.
