Houston, Texas – June 25, 2020 – With the internet one can learn to do just about anything. From baking to crafting, to creating music – at least that is the case for 18-year-old IVORDE IS OK. Two years ago he set out to teach himself how to play the bass and guitar, and in the end, was able to master production and engineering as well. Inspired by the lo-fi aesthetics of John Frusciante and Cap’n Jazz, IVORDE IS OK combined a myriad of flavors onto ‘Beautiful life I live.’ Hints of pop, punk, folk, and even industrial elements came together in a way that feels cohesive and made for one another. The 2020 debut, ‘Beautiful life I live.,’ available now on all major and music streaming sites.
Like many teens, IVORDE IS OK. was plagued by inner demons that led him down a dark path. It is why he turned to music and in turn, wanted to create something for his peers going through the same things, “I wanted to create an album that would be dear to young kids who have no direction, or have experienced depression some point in their lives.” An admirable feat for someone so young themselves, but alas he did it and did it on his own. Now he’s proud to present 10-original tracks that are made of indie hues and emo influences that explore what it’s like to be on the bitter end of depression.
Hailing from Houston, IVORDE IS OK. hopes to not only help young music fans with his music but to also help shine a light on the music scene in his hometown. He is proud to be a part of it and wants the world to know Texas has more than Austin’s world-renowned scene when it comes to great artists creating noteworthy art.
