Claude Hitt Delivers on 'Dialect Error on the Bayou'
Big Sounds from the Big Easy
Raceland, Louisiana – November 23, 2016 – When a Louisiana native teams with a man who once toured with The Monkees’ Peter Tork, and a man known for his way around a Grateful Dead track – good things are bound to happen. Which is exactly what transpired when Claude Hitt crossed paths with Gary Hille and Bob Netcoh. Together they formed a three-piece jam band that has taken over the southern part of the United States thanks to their ability to lay it all out there with their folk appeal. Whether it’s on the stage or their most recent release, Dialect Error on the Bayou – fans are eating it up like a big ol’ bowl of gumbo.
The man who gave his name to the three-piece outlet is no stranger to the music realm. He hosted an open mic for two years at the Lighthouse Bar in New Orleans where he got to know many other local musicians. Through that he made connections and found inspiration to continue doing what he was doing with his own music. Alongside Hille and Netcoh, Hitt felt that the sound he’d been wanting to create had really started to come alive and with that they started jamming together under the moniker Claude Hitt. Of which they agree, “Our brand of music as a three-piece is dynamic. We can improvised/jam and do it well. We can play a three-minute song or jam for 10 minutes,” adding, “With Bob and Gary help Claude maintains his edge and can hold down the fort and Bob’s mandolin playing adds a folk touch.”
Each man brings something different to the table and their skills have culminated on their latest release, Dialect Error on the Bayou. The album features a rambunctious variety that includes “Seattle I’m Coming Home,” “On the Bayou,” “Cool Me Down,” and more including two that are remixes from a previous release. With this album Claude Hitt wants to continue to showcase their dynamic spirit on stages across the south and beyond.
