I❤India Album Launch
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Los Angeles, USA – June 21, 2016 – Music in the hands of an exceptional composer is uplifting and transporting. Celebrated Indian musician, yogi and Berklee College of Music attendee Amit Heri takes us on an exceptional journey through culture and genres with his latest album, I❤India. It’s a masterful showcase of his versatility and breadth as a composer and performer.
I❤India is a blend of Indian music and spiritual chants, with jazz, rock and funk. Few musicians since Ravi Shankar and George Harrison have been daring or skilled enough to pull off the precision segue through musical genres in the way Heri does. The mellifluousness of the lead single on the album, “Beautiful Divine, celebrates life and the divinity of Mother Nature. “Beautiful Divine rejoices the diversity of life and nature. I want my music to create peace, love and the appreciation of the oneness of everything in a world torn by violence,” says Heri.
The album also features riveting performances from some of LA’s top musicians, drummer, Joel Taylor, bassist Ernest Tibbs, and backing vocalist Tulsi Devi, who breathes life into a one of a kind rendition of sacred Sanskrit chants. I❤India, is the voice of Heri’s musical and spiritual life. He composed the music and lyrics, played guitar, sings in English and Sanskrit, and performs Konnakol, the South Indian vocal percussion language.
Amit Heri’s I❤India is a must-listen for new age fans who like their music with spunk and funk.

Amit Heri was one of a handful of pioneering musicians in India to popularize jazz and bridge Indian with Western music to critical and wide acclaim. In 2012, he was included in OPEN Magazine’s list of 50 most creative Indians. As a guitarist, he’s shared stage and studio with numerous internationally renowned J artists including Charlie Mariano, Zakir Hussain, and Robert Miles. Amit also recorded and performed with legendary jazz saxophonist Charlie Mariano who, months before passing away, expressed his appreciation by simply saying, “Thank you for the beautiful music!” – A much cherished compliment from a wonderful musician and mentor.
