An Artist with Salsa Music in Its Purest Form: Introducing to the World Alvarito y Son de Antaño

With the help of classic Salsa tunes being released in their absolute purest form and a bunch of new compositions underworks, rising band Alvarito y Son de Antaño is well on its way to preserve Latin music.

Davie, Florida – August 24th, 2021 – Emerging band Alvarito y Son de Antaño is proving to be a breath of fresh air in the scene of music. Possessing incredible expertise in the genre of Latin music, the band is well-equipped when it comes to producing quality music. With the release of their latest single titled “Por la Visa Americana”, Alvarito y Son de Antaño is hoping for their sound to reach the masses and touch the hearts of Latin music lovers around the world.

“Por la Visa Americana” was released along with a music video on YouTube on July 31st, 2021. Garnering almost 12k views in less than a month, the video has proved to become a smash hit in the musical career of the band, becoming the most viewed video out of all the music videos released by them so far. Producing other singles as well, the band has been on this musical journey for over a year now. The group started out in 2019, just before Covid-19 struck the world. Badly affecting the band member’s lives, and causing the death of Raul Villa “Raulin” the pianist of the band who passes away in January 2021, after recorded the 3 singles, so they were severely affected by this fact and suspended all musical activity for 3 months.

Apart from “Por la Visa Americana”, the other 2 singles released by the band include “Que Yereye” and “Goza mi son”. The very first single of the band was “Que Yereye” which was released on December 30th, 2020, on YouTube along with a music video. That was followed by “Goza mi son”, which was also released on YouTube along with a music video on January 31st, 2020.

The up-and-coming band plans on continuing making music as soon as the circumstances allow them. They will start doing live presentations, along with making video clips for the songs they have already recorded. The band is also working on its first-ever full-length album, working every day in order to perfect the 8 singles supposed to be on the album. They look forward to completing the album before the end of this year.

Alvaro Roenes started the band Alvarito y Son de Antaño along with other musicians based in Miami and Barranquilla, Colombia. His musical career began when he came to the USA, at the age of 36, before he was a soccer player. Since starting out in music, Alvaro has been a part of multiple musical groups in Miami.
Deciding to start his own band, project Alvarito y Son de Antaño was born. The band produces Salsa music in its purest form, trying to preserve the essentials of the rhythm and maintain the legacy of the masters of this genre.
