LAKE WORTH, FL – Singer-songwriter Mathew Sydney rocks out on his newest project, ‘The Game.’
Following up on 2010’s acoustic folk/rock EP, ‘Drank Too Much,’ ‘The Game’ presents Sydney’s work with a solid rock sound with exquisite guitar solos by Rick Rossano.
‘The Game’ is Sydney’s first full-length studio project and, unlike ‘Drank Too Much,’ features a full band and vocal harmonies. Reflecting Sydney’s versatility as a songwriter, ‘The Game’ varies from the howling wolves on “Little Hunter” to the voodoo-jazz flavor of “A Hit of You” to the techno/dance beats of “Undercover.” There are surprises around every corner.
‘The Game’ is scheduled for release in late February 2012 in conjunction with an album release concert on Saturday, February 25th at MARA (1132 N Dixie Hwy, Lake Worth, FL 33460) from 8pm-11. Admission is $10 and includes a complimentary copy of the ‘The Game.’
The concert will feature performances by Sophie Sputnik, J.J. Crowne and Felicia Rose, in addition to Mathew Sydney, himself.
The Florida-based songwriter is a longtime supporter of Compass, The Metropolitan Community Churches and of Equality Florida.
