7 Deadly Sins in Modern Era: New album of Max Montanari, rocker from Italy

Ravenna / ITALY — Monday, June 8th, 2020 — Put that you release an album written 15 years ago for a major major, put that the local radio broadcasters go crazy and put it in rotation, and also put it that it is a sustained rock song that has nothing to do with the current reggaeton fashion and similar; shake everything and go to the euro music chart all over Europe and in rotation in South America. What comes out of it?

The album S.A.L.I.G.I.A. Max Montanari in-store from 20.04.20, the album that shouldn’t have come out! “S.A.L.I.G.I.A” is the acronym used to define the order of the 7 Deadly Sins: Pride, Avarice, Lust, Envy, Throat, Wrath, Accidia (also used by our “Boccaccio” in unsuspected times)

History tells that an Italian hard rock band of the late 90s, PERIKOLOGENERIKO, whose voice and production is Max Montanari (the band that has now disappeared), embarked on a journey with a major label to produce this disc, after multiple artistic recognitions (between including the support on Piero Pelu’s website, in his solo period) which led them, after 3 minitours in France, and over 180 live performances throughout Italy, to be supporters of Negramaro on the tour of “Tutto Score”. The path that has never reached its conclusion because, as often happens in the sector, the change of “artistic directors” denotes the end and the beginning of a dream. The band broke up, but that project always remained as a fixed nail at Montanari [today CEO of Alkatraz Management, all in one record label and voice of the group “Cani Bagnati” produced by Fabrizio Simoncioni (Litfiba, Ligabue)]

So, taking advantage of the stop that the cultural world made, due to Coronavirus, Montanari himself decided to release this album: S.A.L.I.G.I.A. a strongly anachronistic record (on the cover there are 7 burnt roses as an emblem of the project), which is part of that musical period in which riffs, distorted guitars, and solos were still the masters! The thing that makes it interesting is how the texts in Italian, which update the capital vices, re-reading them in a modern key, intertwine in musicality usually suitable for the English language giving a unique sound to the product; The result? You read it at the bottom of the present! Max Montanari is focused on the worldwide promotion of the album, and there are rumors (given the real success achieved) of the press and critics) that he will go on tour with a new formation that will bring the product back live.
