About

LONG BIO (400 WORDS)

Big Wynn  (Milton “Big” Wynn)  is a multi-talented hip hop artist, screenplay writer, actor, producer, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and professional heavyweight boxer from Perry, GA whose latest creative endeavor is his newly released single  “We Gone Make It” (ft. Tone Jonez).  Meant to give hope to the Black community in the continued fight for racial equality, the song’s powerful message is felt through Wynn’s bold verses and smooth vocals, as well as a classic soul rhythm section that has been modernized with radio-ready melodies and production.  While this is the first single from Wynn’s upcoming album, he is an experienced songwriter and musician with multiple projects under his belt, including his song “Country Boyz” which topped Billboard’s R & B/Hip Hop Singles Chart at #2 in 2007.

While Wynn has worn many different hats over the course of his career, music was his first true passion.  Growing up as the son of a pastor, he was surrounded by music in the church from an early age.  Wynn began playing drums at 5 years old and by age 12, he was playing the piano, trombone, and tuba.  His love for music continued through college, as he became a trombone and tuba player in the school’s symphony and marching band.  Around the same time, Wynn also entered into a two decade long boxing career.  He dominated the amateur boxing league with a 22-1 record and a gold medal in the Georgia State Games Heavyweight Division.  He went on to box professionally, leaving behind an 8-1 record and 5 knockouts.

Even at the height of his athletic accomplishments, Wynn simultaneously fed his passion for music, as he continued to write and record his own songs, and produced a Gospel group named Decision in the 90s.   In the early 2000s, Wynn began finding success with yet another creative pursuit: screenplay writing. He wrote, directed, acted in, and promoted screenplays such as Living Beneath Your Privilege, Mama I’m Sorry, and Are There Any GOOD Men Left?.  Many of Wynn’s plays sold out venues nationwide and featured high profile musicians like Lil G from the R & B group Silk and multi-platinum recording artist Keith Sweat.

Wynn’s unique perspective in music has been cultivated by his deep sense of both artistic and athletic intuition.  Whether he’s in the studio, on stage, or in the ring, Wynn understands that his purpose in life is to use his voice and his God-given talents to motivate and inspire.  “We Gone Make It” , as well as Big Wynn’s upcoming album, is a direct reflection of his journey and his belief that music is a megaphone meant to bring joy and hope to others.
