I am 27 years young and completely self-taught. I don't use theory as much as I use my ear and visual patterns.

I use FL Studio to make all of my backing tracks. I have used it since it was called Fruity Loops 3, so I was 12 or 13 at the time. My beginnings were in hip hop, which I did have some local notariety for making instrumentals, mostly for rapping though.

But, the trends changed, and so did I, and I picked up real instruments. I can play the drums very well and have recently picked up classical piano. I continue to make film scores and hip hop instrumentals.
