Tyril started out as a drummer in local bands back in the late 1980s and early 1990s. He was a founding member of blues-rock outfit Rock Men (together with singer Edmund Jacobsen, guitarist Hjalti Joensen and bassist Petur Mohr Reinert). Joensen is featured on Tyril’s soon-to-be released first solo album.
