"D.Bizness" [aka- Young D The Infamous]
Born Dante’ Lamont Dears in Tucson AZ (1984). After his birth (him, his mom, dad, and two older sisters) departed to his family roots in East Oakland California. Due to the inner city chaos in the Bay Area around the late 1980’s, at the age of 3 years old his mother left his father, took her children & moved to San Diego for a better life & opportunity. Fortunately his family in Oakland stayed in contact with his mother & he got the satisfaction to go back and forth from San Diego to Oakland while growing up. Astonished, it was like experiencing 2 different worlds all in one and in time it made him significant, adventurous, & very thriving.
San Diego is where I actually grew up & went to school at. Traveling between SD & Oakland I got the best of both worlds which allows me to be coined a real deal Cali-Baby. I had a very fortunate childhood; my upbringing was only hard as I made it for myself. My mother knew what she wanted for her kids, she raised us with morals, principles and a thorough understanding of right from wrong. My father was sometimey, sometimes he was in and out of our lives—more out than in. To our best interest, esp. mine, my grandmother (his mom) kept us connected, which gave me the opportunity to view front-role the real fast-life that enthralled pops undivided attention, his total being. Nevertheless, I was completely fascinated by the mysterious lifestyle he lived and every aspect of how he lived it made me intrigued.
Later on my mom got married. Though she chose a good man for a husband, me and him never really seen eye to eye until my mid teens . My step father was a hard working man in the military, very strict but always oversees long periods of time for work. My mother was a hardworking woman with no highschool education. She worked 3 jobs a day to provide for me & my sibling. With my mom always at work there wasn’t much surveillance over me to stop my mind and being from wandering.
We shopped at bargain centers and payless etc. Moms did her best but I wanted more. At the age of 8 I began hustlin throughout my neighborhood. Observant of everything around me I witnessed the hustlers and pimps in Oakland and all the gangbanging going on in San Diego. Quickly I fell in love with the streets and was infatuated to have money and get it by all means. l had legal lagit small hustles then every money-making effort following turned into one illegal activity after another. This initiated the punishment phase of my life starting with Juvenile hall & running away at the age of 14 years old then simultaneously I began rapping all about it. I never was a really bad kid just too inspired by the street life. Sports kept me grounded but soon as the season was over it was back to the block. !4 years old I became gang affiliated and that's when my life really spiraled out of control.
Involved in too much, when i was 16 the San Diego vice unit put me under a full blown investigation. By the time I turned 19 a warrant was issued for my arrest, thereafter I was facing life in prison, by the grace of god and not talking I was sentenced to 4 years 8 months in one of southern California's worst prisons. With time on my hands I start taking life and music more seriously. I thought I was grown before but I matured in prison foreal. That's where I wrote some of my most deepest lyrics. While serving my time i Received my GED and started my own independent record label “TrappMoney Entertainment”. Also I changed my name from Young D to D.Bizness!
My nickname Young D {in reference to Young Dangerous} came from my turf in San Diego. It stood for my way of life, I seemed older but i was Young Dangerous and deadly, that meaning prevaled. D.Bizness is who I’ve grown to be, cause I’m all about my Business baby… As I continued to grow older, and very serious about the business end in everything, subquentialy here I am, “D.Bizness”! That’s how I conduct myself & I always make sure I handle my Business to the fullest degree.
These reflections of my life is what you are guaranteed to hear in my voice and get from my music. No fairytales, no lies, all non fiction. If i ain’t never seen it or done it I dont rap about it. You get a real dose of reality when you listen to my music. To be continued, D.Bizness for the record..
