Liberia born, Cote d'IVoire raised and Minnesota based singer/songwriter, dancer, and choreographer Togar (Noovou) Howard debuted as an artist in 2014. Before launching his solo career, he was a dancer sharing the stage with several musical artists. While capable of performing many genres, Howard has chosen to root himself in Afropop, a blend of traditional African beats blended with the more modern pop beats. “Popularly known for his catchy dance tunes and electrifying dance moves, Togar Howard is among the top Liberian musicians set to put our country’s music on a global platform,” ­ Fufu And Soup Magazine. Like many musical artist, Howard has been influenced by the musical icons Michael Jackson, Usher, Ne­Yo, Chris Brown, and Fally Ipupa All who are known for their outstanding stage performances. However, his first and biggest influence is a cultural dancer by the name of Lusu Howard, his mother. Ms. Howard began singing to her son at an early age instilling an appreciation and love of both art forms. When asked why he chose music as a profession, Howard responded,“Entertaining is what I was born for. I know it because I feel it in my soul.” In 2014 his hit laden debut EP, Just Getting Started, released featuring breakout hits “Basima, Basima”, “Jolie”, “Oyea Oyea”, and “Marry Me” featuring Nigerian singing sensation Praiz. 2016 single releases “Body” and “Liberian Girl” from his soon to be released sophomore project, I AM Togar Howard, have been met with positive reviews from the music community and fans alike. Howard’s love of dance comes through his music as the majority of his songs have uptempo danceable beats. Togar Howard, a dedicated, well rounded entertainer, strives to hone his craft daily. His diligence is bearing fruit as his newest project displays his growth as an entertainer and even his first EP continues to gain in popularity. I AM Togar Howard is set to release.
