Sadie Belica
MetalAbout
Sadie Belica is an unsigned hard/psych rock singer/songwriter/guitarist producing her first EP DIY at her home studio in LA. Some of her creative influences include Nirvana, Alice in Chains, Led Zeppelin, Fleetwood Mac, Black Sabbath, Korn, and Alice Cooper. She is best known for her theatrical live rock performances. Belica, a Chicago native, moved to Los Angeles to study music production at the Musicians Institute in Hollywood, where she embraced the DIY method and built her own home recording studio. She uses the artist name The Waking Point, inspired by the public’s resistance to face the threat of climate change. Lovers of Nirvana and Alice in Chains will find a new source of musical therapy reminiscent of 90s grunge, with modernized production and dark, gripping, melodies. The psychedelic aspect contains an evocative weirdness authentic to the artist's personality and musical spirit, as she is a self-professed infatuate of Kurt Cobain. In anticipation of her EP release this August, Sadie is releasing two singles, “Rose Colored Violence” (April 2020) and “Bad Girl” (June 2020) to stir hard rock listeners on all platforms
