The HiCats originally formed in 2010 as a 6 person rap group from Ontario, Canada.
For years they were at the forefront of the Hamilton hiphop/music scene being nominated for several awards and known for selling out venues across the city with local shows.

The HiCats released many different projects in 3 years including the group albums "Gateway Music" and "High Def" in 2013. In that span the group also opened for live acts such as Royce da 5'9, D12, MGK, members of WuTang, Sean Price, Swollen Members and MadChild, MarvWon, Kid Vishis, Classified, Peter Jackson, DJ QBert, DBlock and more.

In 2021 two of the original 6 members (Stealth Elementz & Mitchell Heaton) have joined back together to continue the HiCat legacy and provide fresh sounding hiphop music.
With 2 new singles in 2 shorts months The HiCats have proven why they've always been fan favorites.
