Started playing guitar at eight years old with a older brother, a bass player and my youngest a drummer! Started are first band called Stone Love! My father owned a rec center for teenager's only. It gave teenagers a place to go after school and on weekends! Are first gig was at my father's rec center on the weekends. My mother and father had a lot of out of town relatives coming to my parents 25th Silver Wedding Anniversary, and are parents wanted us to play for everyone there. It turn out so well, we even got tips from all of are relatives and great comments. We also got offer to managing but at the time we were to young. As we got older and grew with are instruments we all joined a group called the Playmates! This group also had very good management and equipment! But the greatest asset about it was, this manager also managed a professional Band! Well, the professional Band would teach the younger band and boy did I start learning a whole lot more! I stay with the Playmates until 1977. Move away to Anderson, In. Graduated from Madison Heights High School in 1979. Joined the Military US Army in 1979. Started a twelve piece show band called, Night Fire! We entered all talent shows at the base rec center! We won several times entering it was a great experience while serving in the military. Got out the military in 1982. Move back home to Indiana met and settled down with a wife and two children! Over the time I would take trips to Star Search Competitions, pitching to all the production companies, record companies, radio stations and more! I learned everything that I could about this music business from the business side to the legals! I also play bass, a little piano, Congos, and a variety of percussion! Guitar is my no.1 love! There came a point in my marriage that I had to make a choice between my family and music and had to choose family. Now both children are out of college and in there perspective careers and doing great! That why I am back into my music. It's something that my two grown children insisted that I do! I own thank to Shantez and Steven Jr.! Now I have started recording and dropping more of my music now I have a lot of ideas and material to share with the world!
