STANDAARD is a pop duo from Amsterdam, who started their musical adventure in 2016 with their first song in Dutch 'Twijfel Niet'. STANDAARD is formed by Philip Mouwes and Rosita Loth. Their sound can best be described as upbeat, funky, accessible and very danceable as well. With influences from the 80s and 90s, but als from Nu Disco. Started in Dutch, soon the first requests came from radio stations abroad who loved the sound, but for whom Dutch was (too) difficult to understand.

As a result in 2018 the first English release was a fact 'Without You By My Side' (2018). The song was well received and more English singles followed (One in a Million, Just Try Love Again, Last Try Before Goodbye) and recently Freeze the Night, a super-funky song with an upbeat groove and a recognizable message about the wish of two lovers for a night that never passes by, lasts forever, so love won't ever end.
