Born 1979, Rockin' Todd Russell started in the underground club scene back 1999. Playing house parties and backroom Open Table Dj Guest spots. Although these where just open table Guest Dj Spots. These where also some of Orlando Florida's world known famous club spots. Imagine playing for 2,000 hard core house heads on your first gigs. From his first performance at a well after hours club on Lee RD. in Orlando where all of a sudden Todd Threw on record and came out of Dj booth ontu the dance floor and started breakdancing, and was going back in the forth from the dance floor to the DJ booth. This is where he First got recognized in the Florida Scene. Todd was well know as local B-Boy (Dancer) in the local scene, But Djing and dancing at the same the time got alot a attention and not the laughing kind. The place light up. When asked why he did that he replied "They could not see me in the Dj booth, So I went down there to the dance floor, so they would know it was me playing. And now they Do."  Honestly did not expect the whole club to go nuts like that. But no complaints. Immediately after gaining the attention he put on a track he had created and played it. This was the moment he became not only a Dj, but a DJ producer. Selling his Promo Mixtapes and tracks out of the booth and some times just giving them out. He became quite popular. Playing at clubs and event venues ever since. Not being on a record label before the internet was released to it's more independent artist friendly platform of today. He mostly played as a guest Dj and was not a headliner. With that said he has personally opened, closed, and work with some of the Top Dj's know all around the world today. Not saying any names, but even top chart and famous icons of the dj world. Rockin' Todd Russell is his artist name on Records and Dj Rockin' Todd is his Flyer Dj Name. His Label is Mixstar Music (Personal Independent Label) He Plays Breaks, House for the most part with techno in his mix. His sets are on point. He always plays a great set live. Fun to be around. And part of the family kind a guy. His music is his own style and always progressing as an artist you never know what his next record is going to be or produce. As a Artist his music is what is called Dj friendly mix tune records. As in vinyl Records. Anything pressed on Vinyl by this Artist is absolutely amazing. (Mostly Rare Short Run Copies) They Sell out fast, so if you see a copy for sale, Get it while you can. Digitally he releases a lil more variety, But Vinyl Records are his Specialty. That is what he is known for. Playing Live, He spins Analog Vinyl (No Digital), That is him at his best. I have seen him rock the CDJ's, But if i see Rockin' Todd, I want the Vinyl. Cuttin & Scratching and Mixing is the name of his game. Really nice Style.
