Phily Skeamz often feeds on his listeners doubt and expectations to astonish them with his use of combined metaphors, wordplay, and perpetual rhyme patterns. Phily Skeamz displays versatility in his songwriting by demonstrating a combination of rhythms and flows that were designed to be infectious and unpredictable leaving his audience in suspense to hear each cadence. One major aspect that pushed Skeamz to develop as an artist and a lyricist was his early influences from icons like Lil Wayne, Eminem, Nas, Wu-Tang Clan, and Bone
Thugs-n-Harmony.
A native of Alexandra Virginia, where Skeamz was born, he was surrounded by the culture of Washington DC, known for its go-go music, historical sites, and sneaker obsessed residents.The DC area is immersed in the hip hop culture. Phily Skeamz started to garner some local attention for his 2013 mixtape "Acception to the Rule" and 2014 mixtape "Catch Up" on Datpiff. Favorites from the mixtapes were "Maad City," "Sure Thing," and "Wu-Tang Forever." Proceeding these releases Skeamz uploaded over a dozen new songs on YouTube and SoundCloud. This lead to the unveiling of his debut independent album "Finago" in 2019. After the completion of his first LP, he would end the year with two more singles, "Neighborhood Recipe" and "All U See." He released the EP "Lucid Nightmarez" May 2020. His newest release would be "Tellin' Lies" available July 2020.
