Spliff G Masu originally from Fort Walton Beach, Florida starting his journey to be in the industry at the tender age of 8 years old. He started writing music at 10 years old, at 18 years old fresh out of high school, a long with a friend Javan McCain also known as Florida J. Started a record label called DOWN SOUTH RECORDS, Spliff dropped his first independent e.p. titled "Underground Funk" in 94. Shortly after his father Chief Master Sargent Carl E. McCants had orders from the Air Force to move to Colorado Springs the same year, Spliff bought an album at Camelot called MWG and recognized they were going through the same company that presses cassette tapes DISC MAKERS. The label was called Felony Records, Spliff sent in his e.p. he recorded in Florida and Fall of 94 he was signed. 1995 Spliff released "Bringin Drama" produced by Jerry The Funky Devil, a year in the contract the CEO up and left the state of Colorado and took all remaining tapes and CDs of "Bringin Drama". In limbo he felt stuck 6 months later he met Andrae Goodwin also known as Misfit, he knew Allen Born 2 Die Sims. Then Allen had a label called BORN 2 DIE RECORDS, Spliff made a verbal agreement and in 2001 Spliff released "No Mercy" production by Misfit, after that was a compilation album called "MOB AFFILIATES". Spliff later wanted to do his own thing and try his hand on running his own business, and in 2007 Released what seems to have disappeared an album title "UNTIL I DIE" production by J Dawg and FeedBack Kelly. 2004 he joined forces with then an old friend he met while on FELONY RECORDS, Phallon Sinnis and started a label called PlayerzGuild ENT/Hardwork Playerz Inc. 6 years later found out the reason he never saw any money, argument ensued and Spliff was kicked off the label with no reasoning. Spliff started up his own label in 2019 and in December 20th 2019 released "FIX YO FACE!! STRAIGHT OUTTA C-SPRINGS" production by producers from the BeatStar App, with his drive and motivational characteristics, January 2020 Spliff G Masu dropped a single titled "GOT IT OUT THE SNOW that caught the ears of SupaUnit/Savagelife Records and the rest will be marked as history coming from the 850 to the 719.
