Joy Chapman

Joy Chapman's interest in music started on the farm wanting to find ways to vocalize and imitate all the animals. In grade school her wide vocal range was realized as she could not only go to high soprano but was also able to achieve alto, tenor, and even bass.  Shortage of males meant she was often relegated to the low sections and developed a deep, velvety textured low voice often likened to Anne Murray or Toni Braxton.  She also learned both piano and guitar as her mother was an accomplished music teacher.  She is currently working on setting the world record for lowest female note in the world with engineers recording her accurately scaling from E1 to E0 (20 hertz). This is the end of the sonogram's recording capabilities and so she will require help of universities to find out how low she can actually go.  They have also recorded her performing a C10.  Joy loves writing and being a published poet she often uses her poetry for  songwriting inspirations.  Joy was first "discovered" at a competition at the PNE where she was chosen over 5000 entries to sing on the main stage.  She was picked up by Legends International and toured from 2014 with them and has her own Diva Tribute show featuring Patsy Cline, Shania Twain, and Cher but she does many other voices and characters including Anne Murray, Reba, and Dolly Parton to name a few. Joy was invited in Nov. 2017 to sing on stage with the recipients of the Rock Godz Hall Of Fame Awards in LA, including Lita Ford having been specially invited to attend with Phil Chen.  Joy also was a finalist in submissions for  David Foster's Organ Donation Foundation where they personally contacted her loving her concept and submission of "Pass It On" with an original song and idea of a relay race.  Most recently, Joy is concentrating on her release of her album "Footprint In My Songs" and shooting music videos for the 14 songs.
