Biography
Lisa Vivian has grappled with undiagnosed mental health issues for a long time and has tried dealing with them the wrong way. The artist was always troubled by the thought of desperately needing to fit somewhere and find her tribe. After 20 years of self-medicating, the artist sought help on a shamanic weekend when she had a severe mental breakdown in 2016.
To Lisa Vivian, music has always been one of the most important forms of therapy, as well as a vital means to heal her soul. Finding her unique purpose in life through music, the artist remains grateful that she can tune into a creative realm with her art.
Re-embracing her endless love of songwriting, the artist is paving her unique journey and working towards live performance and studio work, simultaneously on the pathway back home to herself. With her music she underscores that reaching out and starting your recovery route requires hard work and dedication but is eventually rewarding and satisfying.
With the aim of positively impacting the lives of others who have experienced mental health difficulties, Lisa Vivian hopes to become a positive role model of recovery. Inspiring others to return to the life of meaning they desire and deserve, Vivian’s goal is to use her platform to cultivate awareness of music therapy and creation as a critical pathway and tool for mental health recovery.
Making her mark with her a live stream on Facebook on 9th October, 2020, Lisa Vivian unveiled her independently written single, “Don’t Lose Faith,” - an awareness song about mental health on a Facebook live stream.
In 2019, the artist recorded a demo of a song she wrote called “The Dreamer,” featured on a compilation CD for ‘Wild At Heart -Life is a song’ promo CD. This was followed by her recent EP, ‘How Good Can It Get?’ which she dropped in 2022. In the fall of 2020, Lisa Vivian became the top finalist for her song ‘Don’t Lose Faith in Me’ at the World Songwriting Awards. In the summer of 2021, she became a top finalist once again with her single, “The Dreamer,” and received a certificate from The World Songwriting Awards.
