Formed in January 2018, LionThrone have released their brand of soulful Neo-funk on the live music circuit in the summer of 2018.

Stylings call to mind a wide array of artists from Al Green to RHCP, a Tribe called Quest to RATM, David Bowie and Prince to 311.
Having originally met in Virginia in 2015, this quartet has seen each other across multiple state lines to be reunited in 2018 with a chemistry that belies their as yet brief time together. “We were made for the funk.” says co-vocalist Justin Reed. Boasting several multi-instrumentalists, LionThrone’s infectious grooves and soaring harmonies captivate both casual listener and critic alike.

Releasing the first single titled “Movequick” at their debut in San Antonio, Texas, LionThrone announce their presence with a string of performances at SXSW (unofficial) 2018. Recording, releasing and supporting original material with a heavy performance schedule including many events in San Antonio, Austin, Dallas, and even reaching out to Fort Collins, Colorado Springs and Denver, Colorado with eyes on Maui in the fall of 2018. There is no doubt LionThrone will establish themselves as live circuit mainstays.
