About

I am committed to creating and performing quality original music with an original voice, and covers of music less often heard, with an individual take.

I am a guitarist and singer-songwriter whose songs paint pictures of people and their joys and struggles in life for those who like their music in a roots, bluesy and retro style. From the danceable and feel good to the introspective and plaintive, typically nostalgic, earthy but lively, my original music draws you in and holds you. A regular performer in the Albuquerque and Santa Fe area, and beyond, for years. I grew up in the historic Gulf Coast city of Galveston, TX.

I also sing, play guitar and harmonica and perform originals and covers of classic acoustic blues masters like Lightning Hopkins, Big Bill Broonzy and Muddy Waters, and also some more “folk“ and Americana oriented artists. Through the use of new tools and technology, I have begun performing as a one man electric band using my own recorded backup.

I have been described as a “very compelling blues artist” and one with “impeccable guitar work and a soulful voice.” I consider myself, broadly, to be a roots rock musician.
