The artist know as Stampeed born Leonard R. Hawthorne has matured from hustling and living a thug life to allowing his motivation to fulfill his fathers last wish of pursuing music, and becoming the success he was born to be. Leonard was deemed the name Stampeed from his vicious reputation of devouring any challenge met in the streets as well as on the any beat he met. His humble beginnings was from poverty in a small town with parents who struggled with addiction and mental illness, he turned to the streets to lead him down a destructive path that most would have died or been serving life sentences for. By the grace of Allah, Stampeed has overcome his mis-education, served his time, yet avoided life sentencing, twice. His ability to transition from gang-banging to upstanding citizen came with sacrifice and learning lessons of mental discipline and patience. Stampeed feels his music is a cautionary message to inspire the youth of future generations is to let them know he has been there done that, and if he could he wouldn't go back... so don't go forward into the path of destruction.
