Lady Bain

Lady Bain has shifted the paradigm of R&B music with her authenticity over the course of her career. Just four years ago, Cassandra Bain was a hard-working Detroit police officer who found herself in a near-fatal car accident and lost the love of her life to dementia. She learned life can be painful, but it can also guide you to new places as she went back to her Baptist Church choir roots. Growing up with Nat King Cole & Nancy Wilson records playing and performing alongside the legendary Martha Reeves as a child, she developed a style rooted in nostalgia while adopting the modern flair.

Her island heritage adds spice to a sophisticated performance and forges an original sound that echoes the legendary singers that shaped her style. This style and substance have led to critical acclaim, including nominations and wins at Lady Flava Radio’s 7th Anniversary Awards & Jay Williams’ Gospel Hip-Hop Awards for Best R&B Singer and Best R&B Song. She has had her records played across the country on iHeartRadio while garnering interviews from Hype Magazine, as well as several tracks synced on the Bravo network. She recently released her first Christmas song, “Unwrap Me,” and another hit single with “Do Me.” This spring Lady Bain is set to release her debut album, Limitless, a record that features work from Grammy-nominated artist Corey Stoot and the very best of the young starlet’s raw talent!
