KT Rasta hails from the Englewood neighborhood, the same rough area as Chicago’s Lil Durk & Famous Dex in Southside, Chicago, IL. KT went to high school with NBA stars Derrick Rose, Jabari Parker, & Kendrick Nunn at Simeon Career Academy High. Growing up in one of the nation’s worst neighborhoods during the self-proclaimed “Chiraq” Era, KT would find peace in writing songs about his daily struggles with hopes to someday make an impact that would change things for the better. After getting a robbery jail charge dropped in 2013, the Chicago Native would soon began to take music more seriously.
