Kirko the Scientist

I go by KS short for Kirko The Scientist. I derived the name from my background in biology both as an undergrad and graduate student. I classify myself as a hip-hop/rapper that draws influence from both old and new school, classic and modern rock, jazz, as well as my life experiences and some of those close to me. I was born and raised on the south side of Chicago in the Roseland neighborhood and attended Hyde Park for high school. It was then I started developing a passion for music seeing classmates freestyle during lunch period. Often too scared to rap myself I would write songs as life's trials and tribulations came up but never record them nor let others know they existed. Once in college I began rapping with friends and when grad school came decided to start making music.
