KC King

My name is Kobe King, I am 24 years old from La Crosse, Wisconsin. I am graduating from college this spring 2023. I played division 1 basketball at the University of Wisconsin for 3 years, and finished my final 2 years Valparaiso University. After graduating with a Soc/Criminology degree I plan to pursue music and continue to play/use basketball as a tool to connect in the world. Being a student athlete is a busy, thrilling, emotional lifestyle and although it has taken up a large part of my life for 5 years, it has shown me how much can be done with time and how consistent work over time you create gaps that propel success. I believe that this is translatable to many areas of life and finding a balance can be difficult, but if you can embrace the sway can enjoy the teeter totter.

I have always loved music but basketball was such an overpowering part of my life and an area that I thrived in, so I never took the chance to explore my touch with music. I am shy and too often worry about what people think which was another incentive to never take initiative and create music. During 2020 I really started using music as a tool to express how I think, feel, act, and interact with the world wrapped into a unique sound. As I continue to grow musically and as a human being I want to take action with my creativity. A wise person once said "Being scared is apart of life, embrace it and learn to walk through it."
