Joseph F. Persinger
FolkAbout
Joseph F. Persinger is an award-winning songwriter, folksinger and author who recently released his fourth studio album, "The Carnival of Life." This CD features nine original songs. His live shows typically include some of his compositions along with covers of familiar folk, country, blues, and classic rock tunes. A reviewer wrote: "Persinger's voice is perfect for folk music. He sings from the heart with a gentle, approachable tone. The back up vocals and simple support from the band add layers of intrigue to a song that would stand strongly as a vocal solo with guitar accompaniment." Among his musical influences he counts John Prine, James Taylor, Mary Gauthier, Bob Dylan, Don Henley, and fellow Indiana tunesmith, Tim Grimm.
