Jim Doherty

Jim’s first album “I have this dream”. Had two songs that were widely played across Canada. They were “Misery Loves Company” and “Running from the Gun”. The song “What’s in a Name” (from the same album) was used in the movie “L.A.X.”.

Jim’s new album “This Memory” has what could easily and fairly be described as an “all-star” cast. The contributing musicians include Silvio Simone who was a member of Red Rider during the Mad Mad World tour. Silvio was also a member of the cast of “Rock of Ages. Randy Cooke has played with Alanis Morrisette and many high profile acts, as has Rick Gratton who was a member of Rough Trade and has toured with Ringo Starr. The violin player Don Reed has contributed to three of Dwight Yoakam’s albums. Bass player Pat Kilbride has played with The Ian Hunter Band and Vic Florencia who did the mixing has worked with Miley Cyrus, Nickleback and High School Musical. Vocalist Phil Naro has also worked with Alanis Morrisette and many other high profile acts. He also wrote and recorded the theme song for the popular childrens cartoon “Sixteen”.

Jim is currently working on 3rd album dedicated to his daughter who passed away recently.
