1995 – FROM THE AUTHOR I was born in White Plains, New York in 1963. My father is Iranian and my mother is an American of German descent. I grew up in Iran as well as the United States. I studied Engineering at Brown University. From 1986 to 1993, I pursued my interests in songwriting and music. During this period, I performed publicly and developed and operated my own recording studio. I also wrote 693 lyrics or poems of which 289 were adapted into songs. However songwriting and music, which are spiritual in many respects, led me onto a spiritual path and eventually a higher state of awareness. Since then, I have lost and found myself many times on different levels as I’ve had to face dealing with spiritual influences and struggles which I eventually overcame. I once lost all my lyrics, songs, instruments, equipment, studio, home, and family! As well as all my money and the clothes I was wearing! Yes, everything! And more! Interestingly enough, I was led right back to where I left off musically and have been encouraged to pursue my music, to publish a book of poetry with illustrations, and to reach as many people as possible. When I was younger, I could never understand why my project never saw the light of day; but I guess I never knew what I was dealing with or what I’d be up against. I have undergone a spiritual awakening and now my project and I have the green light to proceed. I have edited my collection down to 170 songs or 12 albums which together tell the story of the spiritual quest of someone who is trying to become a better person in the eyes of God. These songs represent my efforts to try to find God through analyzing myself, society, and nature, At the time of the writings, though I was aware of God and His inspiration, I was far from awakened. Towards the end of the collection, as my insights increased, so did the degree of my conscious awareness. The project concludes with a spiritual awakening to one’s own God-nature, as well as other designs and natures of God and the consequences and responsibilities of such higher knowledge. Since that time, I have not written another song as this collection portrays my path to self discovery and God. These songs are a part of a greater project which includes any steps which may be found necessary to raise the consciousness of the people of our world. Though somewhat autobiographical, these collections of songs happen to be about God as well, as we are all a part of God and God is in each one of us. Therefore we’re dealing with the biography of God in the sense that we all share His biography. We only differ from each other in that we all happen to be in different chapters of the same book. Our lives are merely a collection or series of dreams as represented by each experience or song. We are all dreamers and God is the ultimate dreamer.
