About

Joshua Grayson also known as GrAy was born in Jonesboro, Arkansas on December 21st 1995. He was born to mother Tracy and father Jason. When the doctor pulled GrAy out and handed him to the nurse he then peed on her as his first act in the world. He bore a noticeable strawberry birth mark on his head but it faded in time. He had almost entirely white hair and Elvis sideburns. As he grew so did his personality, he became the center of attention in every room he was in and was always leading the pack of siblings, cousins, etc. GrAy’s parents split around his first birthday but maintained the family for a time after the initial split. His mother got her own apartment with along with his two older sisters Courtney and Ashton. Though it was a short stay his father still maintained a relationship with him at the time, and provided child support to his mother. They eventually moved into a trailer when GrAy was a toddler. There his original love for hip-hop was born as it was all that was ever played. After a time his mother remarried and his two brothers Jacob and Jarred were born. Later on, at age 8 GrAy was taken from his mother and moved in with his father. He lived with his father until he turned 16. During that time GrAy would take piano classes and fall into love with it immediately. This is when being able to express himself through music began. The rest of what happened in that time frame? We can skip for now as GrAy focuses on that time a lot during his work. At 16, when GrAy moved back with his mother and switched schools. There he would be introduced to a upper class man named Stefan, who would take him under his wing. Stefan would introduce GrAy to freestyling, which he would often do whenever he could. Most of the time with friends, where again he would be the center of attention. He immediately knew music was what he would want to spend his life doing. He would begin making his own music in 2013. Learning to produce, record, and network all himself. GrAy would find influences such as earl sweatshirt, The Beatles, Daft Punk, Gorrilaz, Kenny Beats, Deftones and more. His music is forever evolving, finding new inspirations from all around him.
