well let me start when i was 8 years old my step sisters husband was in a country bar band and one day they gave me a broke neck folk guitar i would take it under my bed and sit there for hours plucking on it until one day i tightened the strings to tight and finally snapped the neck talk about a mad little kid i was having fun plucking on it well when i was about 12 a friend named dean moss sold me a ole folk guitar for 10 dollars i had that thing for years I'm left handed so i had it being a right handed guitar sdspted to my left style and i learned self taught straight e tuning but right handed i can play regular 440 tuning up side down all my friends before i got my own guitar had right handed guitars its what i had to learn on my middle son Matthew has been the drummer for me since he was a bout 14 or 15 he was playing drums on pots and pans when he was 6 we ended up buying him a real drum set but miniature and weve been father son band since weve had several bassists over the years jack Jacobs was with us for 20 some years rick bowman was the last bassist we had and now my youngest son mike is taking the spot finally a family band our music genres are primarily Christian rock and blues with a few other styles thrown in we do a few secular songs here and there and plenty of instrumentals also
