Dvme pronounced Dame. R&B vocalist and song writer and all around artist Dvme from Detroit, MI brings in good vibes and his twist on music. Dvme has range from being a recording artist to a natural born performer. Growing up in Detroit, MI, he’s been heavily to pursue music all his life from being from the Motown itself to actually being involved in anything music at the start of elementary school. He’s been vocally prepped by being involved in youth choir from elementary all the way through high school and vocally trained since 2017 by talented vocal coach Brandon Smith at StarFactory. Training done at StarFactory has helped Dvme to take control of his career as a Singer/Songwriter/Creative. Dvme’s sound is heavily influenced by R&B and Soul and a pinch of Pop vibes in the mix to give some of his music that jump to get you up. With the skill set of a vocal beast and the work ethic that screams determined and passionate lyricism and creative melodies, Dvme proves to leave his mark on the music industry with no doubts at all. Dvme wasn’t always gunning for a career in music, before Dvme The Artist was created, Damon, attended Michigan State University for Pre-Med and after his first year, decided to leave back home to Detroit from Lansing, MI. Back home, beginning of 2018, Dvme wanted to pursue his journey as a singer and made a few calls around to vocal coaches in the Metro-Detroit area. This is how the on-going relationship he still has with his current vocal coach Brandon Smith of StarFactory all started.  Dvme took 2 years off from doing anything musically to get his license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse. This was due to a lack of motivation to pursue a career in music anymore. While and after receiving his license he felt the need to return to what truly made him happy, music. Dvme’s career started out with covers and remixes and has flourished into a beautiful career noticed by many, especially his city. Dvme has done local shows around his city and have performed for the talented K.Michelle after being chosen as an opener at The Filmore. This being highlight of his early career, to perform in his hometown for his hometown people, sparked an attitude of determination to do music full time and become the artist he looks up to himself. Dvme has a sound that is universal and an energy that you can’t resist to vibe with and he infuses that same energy into his music. Dvme is a growing artist and anticipating to leave an imprint on the R&B world. If you hear a Dvme track, be ready to be blown away with lyricism and a sound that’s not conventional. Dvme wants to break the mold of stereotypical songs from other male artist and be the one to say whatever he wants, however he wants as a LGBTQ+ artist in the music industry.
