Dezy Hall

Acoustic

About

Dezy Hall was born in Newark, New Jersey but raised in South Florida. His music is catchy, featuring acoustic rhythmic vibes and easy going vocals on deeply relatable subjects with strong lead guitar (suppose James Taylor’s lead guitarist was Slash from Guns & Roses). His musical imagination and engineering capabilities are represented down to the core. Dezy writes the lyrics as well as produces, arranges, composes, performs, records and mixes his own tracks. #DIY. Dezy Hall’s genre is considered Acoustic/Rock influenced by Ed Sheeran and Red Hot Chili Peppers but at heart, he is a thrash metal punk rock fiend with a special spot for pop music. Artists like Sia, Tove Lo and Prince are always on his playlists.

Beginning as a rhythm guitar player covering his favorite metal songs and then shifting towards lead vocals during the formation of his first couple of bands, Dezy would connect his microphone to a small beginner combo guitar amp creating a vocal monitor. #ingenuity. Learning to play bass guitar and drums became a necessity so he could express his creative ideas and collaborate with  other musicians. The more he learned about music, the more he found himself investing time into other branches of the music industry such as music theory, production and recording. He withdrew from college to attend School of Audio Engineering Institute (SAE) in Miami, FL. After successfully graduating and receiving certification from the institute, Dezy turned his attention to event coordination, often hosting local events at a combination of upscale venues and underground scenes. Simultaneously, Dezy was selling music equipment. Understanding the gear and dynamics of both instruments and applications, his curiosity reached a new peak. He re-enrolled in college to formally pursue a Bachelors degree in music theory and composition. Through his involvement with the college, Dezy was able to leverage his academic and professional affiliations to arrange and participate in a series of shows at local venues in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. The performances showcased a blend of rock, pop, punk and jazz. #allgenres.
