DZ born Vaughndell Seboris Brooks has been writing hip hop lyrics since the age of 16. Unknowing of his musical talent DZ started out by reciting and performing already written lyrics introduced to him by his 1st cousin. Amazed by the musical power of hip hop DZ began writing his own lyrics. Once he started reciting his lyrics to friends and family they quickly realized the fact that he had a natural and unorthodox knack for the craft. Feeling that he had mastered the craft of writing explosive lyrics he ventured into beat engineering and producing at the age of 25. Not being able to afford paying for studio time DZ saved up money to purchase his own recording equipment. Knowing nothing about audio recording or engineering but knowing what he wanted out of his music and the enthusiasm to make it happen, DZ taught himself how to use music programs such as Fruity Loops and the recording program Acid Pro. He currently works with programs such as NUENDO, Cubase, and Sonar X3. Coming from a musically inclined family and being naturally talented, creating original and quality music is like second nature to him. Feeling that he still had more creativity to show the world, DZ started getting into the field of Graphic Design and designing his own album covers, logos, and business cards. Since DZ realized the skills and talents that he possesses he had put all of them to good use and tapped into the business side of the music and launched DZ Productions LLC and Currency Development and is now currently producing and engineering for other artists and music as well as making quality graphics for them as well. DZ is still reaching out to work with, and get his talents recognized by major recording artists and labels but has worked with extraordinary local artists such as Prophecy Records LLC, Drank D (Grindstar ENT/Currency Development), Keyz (Grindstar ENT), Skeez (Currency Development), Dusty Dials (Currency Development), Itz Dul (G.A.M.E. B.O.I ENT), Mic Nice (DZ Productions LLC), Jugga (Grindstar ENT), Mike Milo (Currency Development), Jea Sinatra, JESS JONES (G.M.$.H. Get Money Stop Hatin Tour). DZ is currently the engineer for a positive inspirational talk show The Paradigm Experience in Columbus, Ohio.
