Cupid and the Cowboy

Cupid and the Cowboy features duo Michele Cupid (guitar, vocals) and Maynard Watson (guitar, vocals, drums). Michele was born and raised in the Bronx, and wrote a book of songs after graduating from college. Along with performing at open mics in Brooklyn, she did Jack Hardy’s Songwriting exchange in NYC before the pandemic hit. Maynard was born in San Francisco California.  His music is a combination of Bakersfield Sound (recognized as the ‘Country Capital of the West Coast,”) meets Cowpunk music. The band has become an original fiery blend of Alternative Country/ Pop and Rock n’ Roll meets Punk—basically in a word: Cowpop!
