This cool cat is cool, calm and collected. Candice Dianna lives a pretty quiet life with her family and friends doing her journalling, mindset work and fitness. But, when it comes to her music this is not a quiet affair. From a young age Candice Dianna was noticed for (firstly) her voice and (soon after) songwriting which lead to her being in a lot of spotlights. Local newspapers were covering her for her singing at the age of 12. She just loved to perform for people, entertain them... but especially loved hiphop/rap/rnb being a 90s kid. And, performing 'Gangsters Paradise' in her Adidas outfit for her grade 6 show and tell class wasn't exactly... accepted back in those days. It was a little... out of the box.

Classically trained in voice and piano up to AMEB (Australian Music Examination Board) Grade 7 in both, these skills gave her the ability to create with a much larger range of skills than your average Jane but that also caused a lot of confusion. See, Candice performed Jazz, Opera, Lieder, Pop, Country, Soul, Gospel, Funk, Rock... you name it. Different people liked different things and what does the entertainer want? To keep the audience happy! So the journey began to find 'her'.

At the age of 17 Candice Dianna was signed under Candice Skjonnemand (which is actually her birth name) to local labels 'Multiplay Music' and 'Excalibur Productions' with Hayden Bell and Rob Smith; this is the studio The Veronicas were signed to as well, so the girls crossed paths in the hallways regularly. During her time there, she spent a lot of her hours co-writing and doing vocals for demo tracks with Adrian Newman (a fantastic hiphop producer and engineer). As a signed songwriter, creating potential tracks for the label to sell to established artists developed a massive amount of experience in studio and writing for Candice. This experience came in very, very handy down the track...

Eventually at the age of 19, Candice decided she wanted to do more creating of her own beats and tracks from start to finish and low and behold, enter Loic Mobbs! Just around the corner, one of her neighbourhood friends (Jade) mentioned her younger brother had started producing music and suggested well... maybe the two of them should start doing some work together! Candice and Loic got on like a house on fire and became instant best friends and co-producers. A few years down the track they decided to put a name to it 'Elektra Vine' and release it out into the world which... got them an interview on Pay TV talk show 'Planet Unearthed' but... otherwise... kind of went nowhere.. because well... there was no real business plan.

Disheartened, Candice decided to give up and be a stay at home mum. That didn't last though. Soon enough her older sister Vanessa handed her a singing contest flyer and suggested she get back into music and this may just be a good place to start. Karaoke World Championships (which is now iSing) happens once a year globally and this one particular year in 2012, Candice decided to give it a go and won the Australian Championship, then placed runner up in the World finals (Imatra, Finland). This massive boost of reinforced confidence, with some big TV talk show coverage, Magazine spreads, radio interviews etc., was just what she needed to get back in the game!

A year later after the hype died down Candice decided to try something a bit bigger... 'The Voice' Australia. Her successful audition turned 3 chairs in 2014 and the experience on the show gave her even more of the confidence boost she needed to keep singing... however... there was just one problem. Candice wasn't a singer.. she was an artist who still didn't know her sound.

After releasing a concoction of 'what I think the audience wants to hear' on an EP 'Becoming an Artist' in October 2014 (shortly after her father passed away from Cancer), again.. there was a little bit of excitement but no real... breakthrough. It's probably lucky though, because that wasn't her sound to begin with.

The years in between were filled with live gigs, little single releases, a bit of Pop Music University, some more snippets of media and a couple of songwriting finalist awards in QMUSIC.. just enough to keep her going.

But in 2020, when COVID19 happened... there was no work and nothing to do but slow down, reassess life, purpose, goals and well.. identity. And that is just what she did.

After 33 years of people pleasing, Candice decided to just be herself and do what she wanted.. the result? Amazing! Super cool, calm and collected with that RnB flavour that was always there right from the start. The result? People LOVE IT! The music is taking off all on its' own because well... it's F*#n good music.

The rest? Is literally history. Awesome music, pumping out every month from October 21st  (her birthday) 2020 onwards.
