Buddy Mix is an award winning singer/songwriter and producer.  Mix created the first home study voice lesson for singer’s called the Singer’s Workout.  This pioneering vocal instructional project has sold around the world and was carried in the Guitar Center Stores, Sam Ashe, and The Music Stand for many years in the United States.

Starlight Productions is becoming a multi-media company for stage, film and recordings. Buddy Mix formed Starlight Productions for the many projects he has created.  Mix has written film scripts, musicals, stage plays and books and lists them under the Starlight Productions banner along with Tricomm entertainment company and Banana Tree Records, which act as the management, promotion, marketing and recording companies under Starlight Productions.

Buddy Mix received the George Washington honor medal for his EP album of patriotic songs, We The People from the Freedoms Foundation.  Mix also received the N.A.A.P.C. Hollywood Chapter, Theater award for Best Musical, for A Little Meditation, brought to show at the Richard Basehart Theater in Woodland Hills, CA, a musical he co-wrote with Maximum Mix and Christopher Barnhart.

Buddy Mix scored Dragula – the musical, story by award-winning director and writer Mark McQuown, which received the Los Angeles Theater Award committee Best New Musical Award for a staged reading in 2015.  Dragula is currently looking for a home to present the world premiere of this work. After losing his wife River Nguyen Mix to a sudden aneurism, Mix was invited to Africa by Emmanuel Cristoe Musasizi, founder of W.A.T.O. International, a non-profit company seeking to improve the lives of women and the underserved population of Uganda. This inspired Buddy Mix to create a documentary called Teach The World to Sing.  Mix invited long time friend Eric Walker to co-produce this documentary, which now has several hours of interviews of singing teachers from around the world.
























Buddy Mix interviewed top ten artist Bebe Cool of Africa, Los Angeles vocal teacher, Liz Lewis who works with artists like Britany Spears, Gwen Stefanie, Miguel, Rhianna, London, England singing teacher Mary Hammond founder of the Royal Academy of Musical Theater, Native American singing teacher Jehnean Washington, to name a few. Teach The World To Sing recently interviewed singing teachers in Dallas, Texas, and is preparing to visit Germany in May 2020. Teach The World To Sing is seeking a production company to assist he and Eric Walker continue this documentation of people around the globe who Teach The World To Sing.See www.teachtheworldtosing.net for details

Buddy graduated from UCLA School of music,  Mix was introduced by his professor Alan Gilbert to producer D’Arneil Africa Pershing.D’Arneil Pershing mentored Buddy encouraging him to write songs.  Now Buddy Mix has several albums of original songs including his most recent release Money In The Bank which was produced by Platinum Award-winning producer Jonathan Wells in Atlanta,  Ga. and Deny Couture from Canada
