Biography

Big JimmyB is an up-and-coming force in the world of Hip Hop and Rap music, who hails from a small town in Arkansas. A seasoned and talented singer and songwriter, James Caldwell, better known by his artistic name Big JimmyB is swiftly rising the ranks in the Hip Hop genre. Taking the music industry by storm with stunning song writing abilities, Big JimmyB showcases unparalleled brilliance in recording, mixing and production as well. 

Always moved by the rich and riveting power of music in the lives of people as a young child, the rising artist decided to get into the musical scene. The budding rapper decided to formally pursue music at the Los Angeles Film School, where he graduated with a degree in Music Production. All set to break into the Hip Hop world, Big JimmyB was influenced and inspired by various musical genres, such as Gospel, Blues, R&B and Rap. The rising artist boasts a stellar and stirring discography which includes projects such as “Bright side of the moon”, “5 Dayz Off”, “Eye See Red” and his recent refreshing project “On My Way”, which released in 2021 on Apple Music, Amazon, Spotify, and other music platforms. 

The new project “On My Way” has already been met with massive acclaim, and has positively surged Big JimmyB’s social media presence, imbuing listeners with a fresh new air of Hip Hop. Big JimmyB has also had the experience of performing on numerous gigs, tours, and musical acts. The artist stunned audiences on the “Get Money Stop Hating” tour hosted by Jess Jones, as well in a series of riveting performances in Sacramento, Vallejo, San Francisco, and Oakland, during his California tour. Focusing on the raw and authentic themes of life, Big JimmyB highlights themes of hardships, perseverance and embracing one’s own self. Dominated by strong lyricism and piercing song writing, the flourishing artist uses music to voice his story and unique experiences. His singles such as “Mirror” and “I’m Back On” encapsulate striking lyricism and soulful song writing. Currently, Big JimmyB is focusing on releasing more music, and is looking forward to expanding his musical imprint, while solidifying his fan following.
